Yakumo Fujii, un étudiant japonais de seize ans menait la vie tranquille avec des jeunes gens de son âge.
Un soir, Yakumo, jeune habitant de Tokyo, rencontre Paï,
une jeune vagabonde un peu sauvage et dont le front s'orne d'un troisième œil.
Elle est porteuse d'un message du père de Yakumo, disparu il y a plusieurs années au Tibet.
Dans ce courrier, Yakumo apprend que Paï est la dernière survivante d'une race mystérieuse,
dotée de pouvoirs surnaturels, et qu'il doit l'aider à se tranformer en être humain.
Nos deux héros partent alors pour une suite d'aventures fantastiques à travers le monde qui les mèneront de la Chine à l'Égypte en passant par le Tibet, à affronter aussi bien les dieux du panthéon égyptien que des monstres issus des légendes chinoises...
3x3 Eyes est une bande dessinée fantastique, unique en son genre.
Il est considéré comme une des plus fascinantes séries jamais produites au Japon.
En dépit du nombre de tomes, le scénario reste toujours captivant.
Les aventures des deux héros se succèdent, toutes plus fantastiques les unes que les autres,
avec des combats de plus en plus majestueux.
